He was predeceased by: his former wife Carmella; his wife Irene; his stepson Clyde Richards; his son-in-law Pete Lafferty; his siblings, Benjamin, Paul, George and Viola Spencer; and his close friend Richard Molina.

He is survived by: his children, Harland Mooney (Rose Lafferty), Ken Mooney (Linda), Debra Molina (Luis), Paula Cabrera (Miguel), Andrea Davila (Freddy) and Teresa Lafferty; and his stepchildren, Michael J. D'Angelo and Claudia Maslony. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
