He was predeceased by: his parents, Rudolph Selent and Mathilda Selent; and his siblings, Edmund, Lydia, Jakob and Oskar.
He is survived by: his wife Ursula; his children, Richard Selent of Brownsville, TX, David Selent (Ann Marie) of Amherst, OH, Monica Selent of Dayton, OH and Robert Selent of Amherst, OH; his daughter-in-law Amanda Selent of Wakeman, OH; his grandchildren, Ricky Selent, Rachael Selent, Jacob Selent, Jenna Selent, Rebekah Anne Selent, Olivia Hannah Selent and Kailin Henry (Jordan); his great grandchildren, Anna Kate and Lynlee Mae Henry; and his sister Johanna Blich of Germany. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family.
Current COVID 19 requirements are that all attendees must wear a mask and social distance.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Zion Lutheran Church, Lorain, OH.
