He was predeceased by: his parents, Alejandro Velez Sr. and Evelyn Galan Velez; and his sister Linda Velez. He is survived by: his wife Maria Carmen Morales Velez; his children, Jessica Velez, Christina Otero, Tonya Morrison, Diana Robinson, Ovi Valentin and Jackie Valentin; and his siblings, Sammy Velez, Angel Velez, Edward Velez, Michael Velez, Norma Velez and Lovey Velez. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren.
