With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Hayman of Long Bottom, Ohio, born in Kingston, Rhode Island, who passed away on October 24, 2022 at the age of 55. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Harry, Garnet Polk Hayman, Bill and Jean Simms. He is survived by: his parents, James W. Hayman and Jean L. Kesterson Hayman; his wife Melinda; his children, Josiah Hayman, Jonathan Hayman, Larissa Hayman Mills (Taylor) and Josie Hayman VanKirk (Baylee); his stepgranddaughters, Lillian "Cheese" and Chloe "Strawberry" Mills; his half-brother Howard Huffman; and his close friend Jesse Rhodes (Shayleigh Dawnel Carmichael). He is also survived by many cousins and friends.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the James Hayman Athletic Scholarship Fund, c/o People Bank, 601 Washington Street, Ravenswood, WV.

I know that you are on the welcoming committee in heaven..making sure everyone feels welcomed & loved, singing & dancing, &most likely a little whistling (just as you always did here).
