He was predeceased by: his parents, William J. Detty and Minnie Angus Detty; his former wife Nancy Anderson; and his children, Susan Thompson, Roger Detty, Janet Gorrell, John Detty and Jeffrey Detty.
He is survived by: his wife Julie Dowler; his sons, David W. Detty of Grove City and Ralph "Bill" Detty of Londonderry; and his sisters, Luvada White of Chillicothe and Jackie Rubitschung (Neil) of Londonderry. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren.
