He was predeceased by: his father Clifford P. Detty; his daughter Vicki; his grandchildren, Mark Detty and Kourtnee Detty; and his siblings, Mildred Hamm (John), Eva Manson (George), Wendell Detty (Dee), Kenneth Detty (Ruth) and Patricia Barnhart (John).
He is survived by: his grandson Chris Detty of Chillicothe; his great grandchild Clifford; and his nieces and nephews, Connie Chester (Richard) of Kingston, Joan "Kate" Barrows (Mark) of Chillicothe, John Barnhart (Crystal) of Chillicothe, George Manson (Galinda) of Amanda and Rick Manson (Patty) of Chillicothe.
