He was predeceased by: his parents, Ferdinand "Ferd" Ortner and Jane Ortner (Becker); his wife Lea Ortner; and his brother James Ortner. He is survived by: his significant other Jane Magargee; his son Aaron Ortner (Lori) of Norwalk; his stepchildren, Jarrod Kipp (Sarah) of Norwalk, Natalie Bowers (Rick) of New London and Jessica Kipp (Dan Whitaker) of New London; and his sister Carol Stoepker (David) of Portage, Michigan. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, and many cousins.
