She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold E. Potts and Mary A. Hamilton Potts; her former husband James Lewis, Jr.; and her brother Robert Potts. She is survived by: her children, Kelly L. Smith of Chillicothe; her stepchildren, Laurie Caldwell of Waverly, Teresa Lewis of London and Jeremy Lewis of London; her granddaughters, Shea Howland and Lexie Grooms; and her siblings, Rosanne Rapp of Chillicothe, Sharon Barnes of Chillicothe, Harold "Bud" Potts of Chillicothe, Charles "Chuck" Potts (Mary) of Chillicothe and Steven Potts (Michele) of Chillicothe. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
