He is survived by: his children, William Earl Brooks Jr. of Rockbridge, Lisa Jean Slone (John) of Flemingsburg and Gina Maria Stelzer (Jack) of Delaware; his grandchildren, Adam William Brooks (Traci), Emily Allison Anderson (Dustin), Maria Nichole, Andrea Renee, Slone Nichole and Amanda Nichole; his great grandchildren, Carson Trey Hane, Carley Renae Brooks, Chloe Rae Brooks, Tayler Brooks Anderson, Maxwell Bently Anderson, Alyviah Reign Slone and Sophiah Jade Slone; and his sister Shirley Ruth Switzer (John) of Logan.
