He was predeceased by: his parents, William Edward Palmer and Evelyn Mae Coakley (Conway); his stepfather Vern "Snap" Coakley; and his siblings, Charlotte Ann Palmer and John Coakley.
He is survived by: his wife Norma Jean Palmer (Howdyshell); his children, Debbie Nudo (Joe) of Athens, Keith Palmer (Sandy) of Nelsonville and Laura Palmer (George Hess) of Albany, Ohio; his stepsons, Rob Myers (Beth) of Aurora, Jan Myers (Pam) of Logan, Jerry Myers of Logan and Tim Myers (Susie) of McConnelsville, Ohio; his grandson Tony "T. J."; his stepgrandchildren, Brittany, Lacy, Levi, Mallory, Amanda Myers and Cassi Putman; and his pet Sam. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter.
