He was predeceased by: his father Paul Cyrus; his stepmother Virginia Cyrus; his mother Frieda Thompson; his stepfather Don Thompson; his grandson Alaxandar Hanson Cyrus; and his sisters, Sheila Wolfinger and Sherry Rosier.
He is survived by: his former wife Geraldine Cyrus of Lancaster; his children, Paul Cyrus III of Michigan, Rick Cyrus of Michigan, Ryan Cyrus of Michigan, Bryan Cyrus of Chillicothe, Karena Spring (Mike) of Thornville, Craig Cyrus of Newark and Chad Cyrus (Melissa) of Zanesville; his grandchildren, Victoria Cyrus, Elizabeth Cyrus, Isabella Cyrus, Bryan Cyrus II, Christopher Murphy, David Snyder Jr., Katlin Snyder, Sandi McClain, Alanna Cyrus, Cara Zink, Eddie Zink and Chad Cyrus Jr.; his siblings, Penny Hines (Tom), Roy Blankenship and Jim Blankenship; and his close friend Brenda Shook.
