She was predeceased by: her parents, Martin J. Sommers and Sarah Ann Sommers (Kurtz); her husband Wilbur J. Bender; her brother Mose Sommers; and her brothers-in-law, Leonard Overholt and Maynard Miller.
She is survived by: her children, Mike Bender (Ruth) of Logan, Bill Bender (Barbara) of Logan and Cindy Gray (Mike) of Franklin; her sisters, Leona Stoll (Owen) of Hartville, Amanda Overholt of Minerva, Ruth Miller of Hartville, Ohio and Sarah Ann Troyer (Clarence) of Hartville, Ohio; and her sister-in-law Martha Sommers. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren.
