She was predeceased by: her parents, Desmer Bownes and Sylvia Imogene Bownes (Norris); her spouse Merl E. Pittman; her son Greg Joy; her brothers, Robert and Rocky Bownes; and her son-in-law Harold Mobley.
She is survived by: her children, Stony Joy (Vicki) of Logan, Grinner Joy (Charlotte) of Logan, Randy Joy (Penny) of Ashville, Crystal Mobley of Logan and Candy Mason (Ken) of Clayton, Ohio; and her sister-in-law Brenda Bownes. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren.
