He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis J. Joos and Virginia L. Joos (Staley) of Lancaster, OH.; and his siblings, Carol Joos, Susan Joos-Salmond and Christopher Brett Joos.

He is survived by: his siblings, Marc Joos of Carroll, OH, Eric Joos of Prescott, AZ., Lu Anne Deeds of Fate, TX, Shelley Halfpenny (Jim) of Center Barnstead, NH, Krista Kennedy of Fairborn, OH and Joanie Dooley (Kenny) of Grove City, OH; his nephew Phil Fox (Scarlet); and his friend Mary Catherine.
