He was predeceased by: his father Marvin Smart; his grandparents, Wayne, Betty Smart and Joseph Gang; and his brother-in-law Kenneth Tull.
He is survived by: his mother Sally Smart-Henneberger; his stepfather Kenneth Henneberger of Dallas, Texas; his children, Joseph Michael Dedmon (Laura) and Meaghan Elizabeth Dedmon-Mangum (Brock); his sister Christina Smart-Tull of Indiana; his stepsiblings, Michael Henneberger (Fanchon), Linda Henneberger-Larson (Roger) and Sheri Henneberger-Johnson (Jim); his granddaughter Sophie Mangum; his nieces and nephews, Kenneth William L. Tull (Jenny), Robert Larson, Brianna Tull Zins, Kalli Tull and Kim Larson; and his great-niece Kendalynn Tull. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
