He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Dexter and Katherine Jones Dexter Sr.; his siblings, Junior Peppers (Margaret Ann), Charles Peppers (Nettie), Dick Peppers (Ann), Janet "Sue" Fisher (Rollie) and Doris "Jean" Mitchell (Charles); his parents-in-law, John and Luwilda Ashby; and his siblings-in-law, Alfred Ashby and Esther Fraticelli (Charles).
He is survived by: his wife Betty Irene Ashby; his sons, Mark Dexter (Maxie) of Logan, Timmie Dexter (Deborah) of Logan and David Hughes of Logan; and his grandchildren, Ryan Dexter (Ayana) of Reynoldsburg, Jill Tackett (Cameron) of Athens, Hanah Olejniczak (Alex) of Logan, Emily Olejniczak of Logan, Casey Mitchell of Conyers, Georgia, David Johnson of Logansville, Maurice Hughes of Portland, Ashley Wagner of Fairfield, Ry'Lee Dexter of Columbus and Rayana Miller of Columbus. He is also survived by seventeen great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made in memory of Jack Lee Dexter Jr. to FairHope Hospice, 282 Sells Rd., Lancaster, Ohio 43130.
