He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Maynard and Virginia Carter Maynard; his wife Nancy Ellen Muncy Maynard; and his son David Maynard. He is survived by: his children, Sam Maynard (Julie), Grady Maynard Jr. (Jennifer) and Barbara Jordan (Eddie); and his brother Cleo Maynard. He is also survived by five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
