He was predeceased by: his parents, James A. Cather and Gertrude Barbara Cather. He is survived by: his wife Betty Cather of Logan; his children, Betty Schlagle of Logan, Donald Bruce Cather of Berea and Dennis G. Cather of Elkton, Maryland; his grandchildren, Krystal Schlagle, Nicole Schlagle, Dylan, Morgan and Chloe Cather; and his brothers, Dale Cather, Dean Cather and Duane Cather.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to the Scenic Hills Senior Center, 187 S. Spring St., Logan, Ohio 43138.
