She was predeceased by: her parents, John Arthur and Alice Gertrude Hillis (Landis); her former husband Donald Edward Smith Sr.; her husband Leonard Lewis Roach; her son Dwayne Arthur Smith; and her brother John Edward Hillis.

She is survived by: her children, Donald Edward Smith Jr. (Carolina) of Groveport, Ohio and Mary Alice Rader of Logan. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
