He was predeceased by: his father Russell J. McConahay; his brothers, Raymond and Jim McConahay; and his son Chet Young. He is survived by: his mother Laura Marie McConahay (Young); his wife Laura Marie (Shepherd); his children, Mitchel A. McConahay (Teja Knotts), Michael J. McConahay (Marcie) and Taria Turner (Shawn); his grandchildren, Ayden, Hudson Turner, Alahna, Aliviah, Jaxon and Elowyn McConahay; and his siblings, Gaye Hartwig (Dennis), Dawn Waggy (Jeff), Bea Nadelin (Tom), Jill Desimone (Geno) and Paul McConahay. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
