With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Herbert May of Little Hocking, Ohio, who passed away on April 7, 2025 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Lee and Carolyn Nancy Taylor May; his brothers, Gale and Samuel May; and his son-in-law Jeff Darrah.

He is survived by: his children, John Daniel May (Sheila) of Belpre, OH, Brenda Susan Duff (Roger) of Belpre, OH, Robert Michael May of Little Hocking, OH and Nancy Marie Darrah of Mason, OH; his grandchildren, Heather, Sara, Kristen, Katie, Rachel, Amanda, Zachary and Jennifer; and his great grandchildren, Guy, Gwenn, Madison, Jordan, Alivia and Casey.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 5080 School House Road, Little Hocking, OH 45742 or to the Humane Society of the Ohio Valley, 90 Mount Tom Road, Marietta, OH 45750.
