He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert J Sr. Emmert and Helen Louise Emmert (Quinlan); his wife Sue; his son Robert John Emmert III; and his siblings, Marjorie Beebe and Richard M. Emmert.

He is survived by: his children, Peter G. Emmert (Stephanie) of Nashport, OH, Katie Tewksbary (Tom) of Zanesville, OH and Mary Humphrey (Joseph) of Frazeysburg, OH; and his siblings, Michael Emmert (Liz) of Zanesville, Patrick Emmert (Cecil) of Lincoln, CA and Mary Ellen Stevens (Charles) of Somerset, OH. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers you can make a donation to Saint John XXIII Parish or Zusman Community Hospice.
