He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Roach and Edna Roach (Harvey); his son Ray Jr.; his grandson Dakota Robinson; and his siblings, Paul, Carl, Charles, Lacy, Cecil and Velma Lowe.

He is survived by: his wife Fannie (Fry); his daughter Sarah Butler (Ted); his grandchildren, Chandra Butler (Randy Rees), Amber Haddad (Rob), Jeffrey Roach, Jacob Roach and Stephen Melcher; and his siblings, Wanda Scott, Earl Roach, Drema Osborne, Twila Brewster and Bobby Roach.

“I've known Ray for over 30 years. He was a friend and a mentor to me. I moved away from the area 20 years ago and we stayed in touch. If anyone took the time to sit and talk with Ray, you walked away smarter. I want to pass along my condolences to Mae and Sarah and the whole Roach family. Ray was a great man and changed the lives of so many people with a thriving business. We had some good talks in the barn over the years...I know he loved his family. I'll miss my friend! Marty Vicens”
