Dawson (Lisbon, Ohio), born in Martins Ferry, Ohio, who passed away on December 30, 2022, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Striffler and Virginia Striffler (Littleton); her husband Charles C. Dawson; her daughter Catherine V. Dawson; her brothers, Alva and Eddie Striffler; and her great grandchild Naomi Melott.
She is survived by: her children, Carol A. Melott (Jim) of Highlandtown and Charles E. Dawson (Lee Ann) of Lisbon; her siblings, Sandra Duke, Delores Bates (Eric), Dawn Striffler, Robert, David (Fran), Johnny and Larry Striffler; her grandchildren, Ashlee Dawson, CJ Dawson (Krista), Greg Smith (Kati), Autumn Whinnery (Bryan), Jacob Melott and Tiffany McDevitt (Trent); and her great grandchildren, Charlotte "Charlie" Dawson, Beau Smith, Wyatt Earl, Lane Whinnery, Walker, Johnny McDevitt and Noah Melott. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
