She was predeceased by: her parents, Dwight V. Beede and Irma A. Johnson Beede; her husband John B. Stephens; and her brother Rudd Beede. She is survived by: her sister Gretchen Dawson (Frank); her sisters-in-law, Shirley Scott and Alexis Fathbruckner (Mark); her stepson John B. Stephens, Jr. (Deborah); her stepgrandson Robert Stephens (Tina Nandi); her stepgreat-grandchild Kairev John Stephens Nandi; her nieces and nephews, Belinda Dunlap (Jim), CeCe Graham (Tom), Dike Dawson (Jenny), Cliff Dawson (Alisa), Jolene Hefner, Linda Lawhorn, Lois Caspary (Rick), Dru Vesey, Wallace Clay, Amy Cummings (Ronnie), Brian Clay (Terri) and Stefanie Nave (Kirk); and her stepsiblings, JoAnne Trow (Cliff), Elizabeth Lane and Phillip Johnson (Peggy).
