It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joann Whitacre (Lisbon, Ohio), born in Rogers, Ohio, who passed away on April 9, 2021, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Berthol Cope and Veda Cope (Tullis); her former husband Robert "Bob" Whitacre; her sons, William "Bill" Gaston, Jr. and Benjamin "Benny" Gaston; and her siblings, Betty Cope, Evelyn Stacey, Jane Mullen (late Fritz), Albert, Dale, Robert, Ronald, James and Jack Cope.
She is survived by: her husband Bobs; her children, Robert Gaston of Columbus, Ohio and Barbara Bussard, Jr. (Percy) of Lisbon; her grandchildren, Chelsea Wilson, Corey Bussard (Caleigh) and Nathaniel Bussard; her great grandchildren, Jaden, Gage, Clayton Wilson, Emilene and Sawyer Bussard; and her sister-in-law Sorrelle Cope. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
