Jean Hurd Blocksom Obituary
We are sad to announce that on January 3, 2025, at the age of 100, Jean Hurd Blocksom of Lisbon, Ohio passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest M. Hurd and Elaine M Hurd (VanFossan). She is survived by: her children, William John Blocksom (Carla) of Lisbon, Elizabeth Jean "Betsy" Barringer of Lisbon, Thomas Robert Blocksom (Darlene) of Columbiana and Nancy Jane Geho (Raymond) of Columbiana; her grandchildren, Cassie, Andy, Taylor Blocksom, Brett Barringer, Matt, Michael Doyle and Marshall Geho; her stepgrandchildren, Marty, Doug Dowd, Erik, Evan and Kyle Elrod; her great grandchildren, Bryan Shure, Kennedy Knutson, Brooks, Rowan Barringer and Caden Doyle; her stepgreat-grandchildren, Taylor Boaz, Jordan Dowd, Kaden and Zariah Elrod; her great great grandchildren, Lyla, Lincoln and Cooper Shure; and her great grandchildren, Mason and Nolan Boaz. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the New Lisbon Presbyterian Church (111 E Chestnut St, Lisbon, OH 44432).
