He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Jones (Nolte); his children, Howard E. Jones, II (Polly) of Lisbon and Trisanne Thayer (Chuck) of Lisbon; his siblings, Aledith Placek of Coraopolis, Donald Jones (Shirley) of Midland and Glen Jones (Robin) of Midland; his grandchildren, Howard E. Jones III (Autumn), Nicholas Jones (Carolyn), Allison Marie Bardo (Tyler), Russell L. Poling (Kylie), Charlie Thayer (Tiffany) and Paul Overmeyer (Amy); his great grandchildren, Howard Jones IV, Summer Rose Jones, Harlee Marie Jones, Cameron D. Bardo, Hunter G. Bardo, Rorie Ann Bardo, Isabella M. Poling, Nehemiah Thayer, Theodora Thayer, Braxton Overmeyer, Jace Overmeyer and Heavenly Overmeyer; and his godchildren, Christopher McLaughlin (Tanya) and Amanda Lou Bolen (Jeff). He is also survived by 50 nieces and nephews.
