He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Blystone and Catherine Blystone (Walthour); his son Richard Blystone; his brothers, Bruce, Carl and Dennis Blystone; and his grandson Zachary Hairston.
He is survived by: his friend Roger Meredith; his wife Bonnie Blystone (Coughen); his children, Carolyn Jones (Tom), Cheryl Hairston (Everett), Shannon Wheatley (John) and Jim Thrasher (Kacy); his siblings, Delores Vieceli, Eugene Blystone (Nancy) and Wayne Blystone; his grandchildren, Shawn Jones (Cara), Greg Jones, Aaron Hairston (Gabrielle), Amy Tharp (Anthony), Melissa Melton (Zack), Makenna Wheatley, Landon Wheatley, Alexis Spooner (Joe), Serena Thrasher, Hayleigh White and Anika Thrasher; his great grandchildren, Hurlee, Tess, Alice Jones, Thea, Tessa Hairston, Brantley, Carson, Lillian Tharp and Archer Melton; and his brother-in-law Kevin Coughen. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
