He was predeceased by: his father E. John Ruh; and his grandparents, Melvin, Evelyn Schug, Julian and Della Ruh.
He is survived by: his uncle Roger Schug; his children, Andrew Ruh (Keily), Corbin M. Ruh and Iva Mae Gillmor; his mother Carole Schug Ruh; and his sister Elizabeth Widman (Marvin). He is also survived by grandchildren, aunts, uncles, cousins, and nephew.
