He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilfred Aldrich and Betty Aldrich (Bohnhoff); his parents-in-law, Leroy Swartzlander and Jeanette Swartzlander; and his siblings-in-law, Denny Patynko, Judy Hendrix and Heike Swartzlander.
He is survived by: his wife Karen Swartzlander; his sons, Jeremy Aldrich of Fremont and Corey Aldrich (Lisa) of Lindsey; his grandchildren, Derek Aldrich and Haleigh Aldrich; and his siblings, Juanita Patynko of Fremont, Fritz Aldrich of Racine, WI, Carol Biehler (Jim) of Fremont, Nancy Pressler (Bob) of Fremont, Brenda Herman (Dennis) of Mishawaka, IN, Tim Aldrich of Lindsey and Todd Aldrich of Tacoma, WA. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
