He was predeceased by: his parents, William J. Taflinger and Rosemary Taflinger (Promen); his son Geoff "Stan" Taflinger; his siblings, Jim, Tom Taflinger, Melinda Taflinger and Terri Barker; and his nephew John Barker.

He is survived by: his wife Rebecca "Becky" Keller; his children, Bill Taflinger (Rose) of Lima, Steve Taflinger (Melinda) of Lima, Chris Taflinger (Natalie) of Florence, SC and Andrea Taflinger (Brad Goecke) of Columbus Grove; his grandchildren, Aaron Kimbrough (Brooke Flory) of Lima, Danielle Spragg (Matthew) of Findlay, Anthony Kimbrough of Lima, Billy Taflinger (Claire) of Lima, Elizabeth Taflinger (David Gashaj) of Rochester, MI, Nick Taflinger (Rebecca Fisher) of Florence, SC, Stephen Taflinger of Lima, Michael Taflinger of Lima, Emma Taflinger of Florence, SC and George Taflinger of Florence, SC; his great grandchildren, Tyson, Zendaya, Charlie, Connor and Will; his siblings, Mike Taflinger (Karen) of Lima and Liesl Taflinger of Wapakoneta; and his siblings-in-law, Nancy Taflinger of Elida, Judy Taflinger of Lima, Mary Busick (Dave) of Lima, Ken Barker (Stacy Bryan) of Lima, Ben Keller (Pam Oliver) of Lima, John Keller (Teresa) of Lima and Kim Keller (Barb) of Lima. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the L.C.C. Educational Foundation, St. Rose or St. Gerard School or St. Jude.
