He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Mack and Lois Mack (Manchester); his wife Carol Mack (Ebling); his grandson Daniel Caleb Mack; his brother Robert A. Mack; and his niece Natalie Mack.

He is survived by: his children, Jeffrey C. Mack of Lima and Julie K. Fox (Jim) of Avoca, IA; his stepdaughters, Anne E. Rathburn of Columbus and Amy L. Brown (Robert) of Johns Creek, GA; his grandchildren, Emily Mack, Kyle Mack (Jessi), Colin Mack, Nicholas Fox, Dustin Fox, Christopher Fox, Cody Fox, Grant Rathburn, Griffin Rathburn, Meredith Brown and Hayden Brown; his close friend Annie Saunders; his brothers, Donald J. Mack of Los Gatos, CA and David E. Mack (Rebecca) of Lakeside; his sisters-in-law, Leslie Sand (Mark) and Lori Purdy (Tim); his nephews, Bob Mack (Molly), Tom Mack (Molly) and David Mack (Christine); his niece Kristine Rufenacht (Ryan); and also, Patrick Saunders (Jamie), Katie Fox (Jeremy) and Corrie Shiplett (Mike). He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
