It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vernia Rowe of Lima, Ohio, who passed away on December 31, 2021, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Green Duff and Birdie Duff (Chaffins); her husband Truman Rowe; her stepgrandson Anthony "Tony" Delgado; and her siblings, Irlan Duff, Wade Duff, Bewel Duff and Jeraldine Duff.

She is survived by: her children, Rick Rowe (Rina) of Roundhead, Duncan Rowe (Billie) of Lima and Manoka Rowe of Lima; her siblings, Willie Duff of Langley, KY, Sid Duff (Debbie) of Maryland, Pauline Cotter of Georgia, Olive Martin of Langley, KY and Helen Lowery (John) of Belle Center; and her sister-in-law Carol Duff of Springfield. She is also survived by six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and two neighbor children who always knew her as their grandma.

Memorial contributions may be made to the McGuffey Freewill Baptist Church, P.O. Box 148, McGuffey, Ohio 45859.

“Ricky, Duncan and Manoka, I'm not sure I ever meet a better person than Vernia. Always pleasant and friendly even when we acted up as children. I have fond memories of being at her house and your family growing up. The first time I can remember going to church was at her church in McGuffey.
