We bid farewell to Tomas D. Torres of Lima, Ohio, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 16, 2025 at the age of 89. Tomas touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Florencio Torres and Petra Torres (De LaRosa); and his siblings, Charlie Torres, Josephine Tippie, Frank Torres and Rita Torres.
He is survived by: his wife Sylvia Torres (Treviño) of Lima; his children, Thomas Torres of Lima, Oscar Torres (Leonor) and Sonia Haggerty-Steinke (Jeff) of Lima; his grandchildren, Natalie Minihan (Jay) of Cincinnati, Nick Torres (Eva) of Lafayette, CO, Nicolle Haggerty (Chris) of Cincinnati, Nathan Torres (Kari) of Austin, TX, Nevin Torres (Naomi), TJ Torres, Jr. of Lima and Elizabeth; his great grandchildren, Lana, Zoe and Diego; his great great grandchildren, Preston and Naomi; and his sisters, Mary DeLuna, Oralia Zimmerman of Delphos and Juanita Bouvier.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services - Shawnee Chapel (1170 Shawnee Rd, Lima, OH 45805). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Jan Funeral Service.
