He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald "Don" Dotson and Betty Althia Dotson (Gardner); his daughter Rachel Renee Pursell; and his siblings, Linda Dotson, Christine Schmiedebusch (John), Franklin Thomas Dotson and Tom Starkey.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Elaine Dotson (Weigel) of Lima; his children, Thomas John Dotson, Jr. of Lima, OH, Christopher Dale Dotson (Debbie) of Lima, Timothy James Dotson of Piqua, Tammy Jo Williams of Lima, Krystal Page (Anthony) of Fort Jennings and Corey Miller (Kelly) of Celina; and his siblings, Dave Dotson (Cheryl), Sharon Dotson, Cindy Halloway, Steve Starkey, Rick Dotson, Jack Dotson (Lori), Greg Dotson (Stacy), Diane Tippie (David), Lavonna Dotson and Nancy Dotson. He is also survived by 27 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services - Shawnee Chapel (1170 Shawnee Rd, Lima, OH 45805). The military honors was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Laman Funeral and Cremation Services, Shawnee Chapel (1170 Shawnee Rd, Lima, OH 45805).
