She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Nofs and Lucille Nofs (Frye); her husband Donald J. Jewell Sr.; her brother-in-law Jacob Neu; and her stepsister Jean Frasier.
She is survived by: her children, Judith Bowers (Charles) of Lima, Patricia Kerrigan (Mike) of Croswell, Deborah Schroeder (Bob) of Port Huron, Nancy Ballinger (Mike) of East Jordan, Michigan and Don Jewell (Mary Jo) of Hillsdale; and her sister-in-law Janice Neu of Asheville. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren.
