He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell B. Tam and Hazel D. Tam (MacBeth); his wife Juanita M. Tam (Lindeman); his daughters, Rebecca Lytle and Prudence Long; and his sisters, Evelyn Porter and Mildred Ireland.

He is survived by: his daughters, Rachel Day (Glenn) of Westerville, OH and Candace Von Tobel (Paul) of Valparaiso, IN; his sons-in-law, Wesley Lytle (Camella) of Celina and Dr. Darrell Long (Regina) of Lima; his grandchildren, Heather Williams, Bryan Williams (Heather), Jennifer McNiven (Chris), Kristin Kincer (Darrell), Stuart Long, Sarah Fennell (Mike), Stanley Long (Kristen), Michele Montenegro (Lisandro), Paul J. Von Tobel IV (Jenni) and Peter Von Tobel (Heather); his great grandchildren, Aubry Brekke (Sam), Jack Williams, Eli Williams, Seth Fennell, Molly Fennell, Jack Fennell, Savannah Long, Jacob Long, Evy Kincer, Owen Kincer, Mia Von Tobel, Summer Von Tobel, Piper Von Tobel, Porter Von Tobel, Henry Von Tobel, Finley Von Tobel, Samuel Von Tobel, Judah Montenegro Von Tobel and Chloe Montenegro Von Tobel; and also Paul J. Von Tobel IV.

“I am so sorry to hear of your precious father's passing. I read his book about 5 years ago and had called him in hopes of meeting him, and when I found that note today and tried to call, I see that I just missed his passing last Sunday.
