She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul David and Sarah Evelyn Best Miller; her husband Richard Vinton "Dick" Roof; her son Richard Wayne Roof; and her sisters, Florence Marie Crates (Jerry), Alice Mae Brumett (Marshall), Gloria Jean Shulaw (Donald) and Marilyn Sue Miller (Paul Metzger).
She is survived by: her sons, Ronald Walter Roof (Mary Ann) of Lima and Randall William Roof (Kimberly) of Spencerville; her grandchildren, Jennifer Roof (Tim) of Columbus, Ryan Roof (Chrissy) of Lafayette, Emily Roof of Lima, Sarah Burkholder (Nathan) of Clarksville, TN, Annie Smith (Alex) of Lima, Alison Roof (Michael) of Athens, LeeAnn Merricle (Allen) of Spencerville, Richard Roof (Amanda) of Spencerville and John Roof (Brittany) of Spencerville; her great grandchildren, Ryan Roof, Jr., Elliott Burkholder, Tegan Smith, Charlotte Merricle, Addison Roof and Delanee Roof; and her sister Catherine Ann.
With Covid – 19 regulations in mind, the family will receive friends from 4 until 8 PM Monday and after 9 AM Tuesday at the Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home in Spencerville, where Order of Eastern Star services will be conducted at 7:45 PM Monday.
Memorials may be made to the S.O.S. Project, that assists local veterans with special needs.
