He was predeceased by: his parents, William Johnson and Elizabeth McAlpine Johnson; and his siblings, William Johnson, Eddie Johnson, Henry Johnson, Bettie Walton, Myrtle Shambley, Osie Powell and Ruby Freeman.
He is survived by: his children, Bethany J. Johnson Williams Kelvin L. (late Vincent), Elizabeth A. Johnson-Tyson (Anthony) and William R. Johnson (Marsha); his grandchildren, Jarvis, Morgan, Alexandria, Rufus, Michael, Caleb, Lavonia, Joshua, Hannah and MarShon; his great grandchildren, Aaloni, Ashton, Azra, Jaxon, Bronson and Jermain; his wife Myrtle A. Ward Johnson; and his sister Bernice Moten. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and in-laws.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 9th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Fourth Street Missionary Baptist Church (122 W 4th St, Lima, OH 45804). A celebration of life was held on Monday, December 9th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
