He was predeceased by: his father Roy Lee "Buddy" Newman Sr.; his grandparents, Bus and Alleyne Core; and his uncle Skip Core. He is survived by: his mother Bonnie Jean Newman (Core) of Ada; his children, Melissa Lynn Ramirez (Tayron) of Groves, TX and Johnathan "Bubba" Gilroy of Lima; his close friend April L. Morrisey of Lima; his sister Laura Leiber (Bob) of Alger; and his nieces and nephews, Tim Ash, Jr. of Ada, Michael Ash of Alger, Jeremiah Leiber of Alger, Hope Scott (Drake Fugatt) of Lima and Ashley Leiber of Alger.
