He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred "Hoppy" and Nora DeWitt (Hight); his significant other Linda "Judy" Watkins; his siblings, Vicky DeWitt, Robert "Bobby" DeWitt, Michael "Mike" Dewitt and Lloyd DeWitt; and also, Jeremia DeWitt, De'Rion DeWitt, Jack Cayton and Ma'laya DeWitt.

He is survived by: his children, Ronald DeWitt, Jr., Eric DeWitt, Michael DeWitt and Chelsea Middleton; and his siblings, Patricia Bagley, Mary Hall, Loretta Weiner (Ben), William "Bill" DeWitt and Donald DeWitt (Lou).
