He was predeceased by: his mother Rosella Johnson-Latimer (Burden); and his brothers, Rev. Carl David Johnson and Charles Herbert "Herbie" Johnson. He is survived by: his father Charles Fredrick "Fred" Johnson; his wife Brenda Denson-Johnson (Crocket); his children, Rosella Mae Thompson (Maurice), Nichole Bean (John), Christina Ezepue (Joshua), Karla Denson, Bobby Denson and Donnell Denson (Ashley); his grandson Joquavies Denson; his siblings, Sharon Proby (Bob), Jack Leon Johnson, Sr. (Evelyn) and Raymond Spencer Johnson; his aunt Mary Elizabeth Purnell (Willie); his mother-in-law Alice Ball; and his siblings-in-law, Brenda Johnson, Debbie Crocket, James Dunlap and Edward Crocket. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
