With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ralph Waldo Swaney of Lima, Ohio, who passed away on October 6, 2023 at the age of 100. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Walter and Mary Marie Swaney (Thompson); his spouse Shirley Jeanne Swaney (Pugh); his siblings, Donald Swaney (Donna), Charles Swaney (Jeannie), Russell Swaney (Rosie), Norman Swaney, John Swaney, Wava Mitchell (Leo), Judy Craig (Richard), Ruth Ogletree (Marce) and Sharon Swaney; and his brother-in-law David Augsberger.
He is survived by: his daughters, Susan Humphrey (David) of Tulsa, OK, Sheila Fox (Drew) of Lima and Sally Singer (David) of Columbus; his grandchildren, Andrea Sutton, Andrew Fox (Heidi), Sara Richers (Ralph "Rich"), Shari Morse, Ryan Humphrey (Sarah), Amy Fox (Sonny Rowe), Steven Singer, Alexander Fox and Aaron Fox; his great grandchildren, Anna Sutton, Avery Sutton, Anna Richers, Jade Fox, Jemma Fox, Lucidity Rowe, Clarity Rowe, Zeddicus Rowe, Gabriel Humphrey and Aurora Humphrey; his siblings, Larry Swaney (Pat) of Sun City, FL and Mary Jane Augsburger of Lima; and his sisters-in-law, June Swaney of Lima and Kathy Swaney.
