He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, William "Bill" and Cora Hardwick (Williamson); his wife Ida Hardwick (Wilkerson) of Lima; his children, Sharon Hight (Lloyd) of Lima, OH, Richard "Rick" Hardwick (Elaine) of Lima, OH and Julie Newkirk (Mike) of Cocoa, FL; his sister-in-law Phyllis Hardwick of Lake Placid, FL; his son Stephen "Steve" Hardwick; and his siblings, Betty Tallman and Richard "Dick" Hardwick. He was also cherished by seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
