She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph "Dale" Simmons and C. Jeanette Simmons (Black); her grandparents, Lehman and Mary Black; her sister Cathryn A. McDonald; her brother-in-law Alonza McLester; and her close friend Roseanne Venturella.
She is survived by: her sister Natalie McLester of Lima; her son Damon J. Floyd; her grandsons, Dwight A. McNeal and Justin Mayer; her pet Theo Floyd of Lima; her daughters, Regina Borja-Floyd of Colorado Springs, Micah Jeanette Floyd (Kit Pearson) of Lima and Teah Michele Floyd of Kalamazoo, MI.; her grandchildren, Adrian Borja (Elizabeth Knowlton), Blake Floyd, Cedric McNeal (Kara Bales), Dimitri Floyd and Eliyana Floyd; her great grandchildren, Aaliyah McNeal, Amira Borja, Amari McNeal and Rilynn Borja; her grandchildren, Nala, Logan, Miles and Buddy; and her caregiver Charlene Sanders.
