She was predeceased by: her parents, Virginia Walton Sr. (King) and Cread Sr. Walton; and her sisters, Virginia Marshall (Robert), Odell Walton Sr. and Thomas Lee "TommyLee" Walton of Lima, OH..
She is survived by: her husband James Smith of Lima, OH; her children, Ronald Smith (Claudia) of Tampa, FL, Aretha Colvin (Quandis) of Columbus, OH and Lashonda Smith-Howell (Rodney) of Pickerington; her grandchildren, Jessica Brayboy (Lamari), Ciara Colvin, Justin Smith, RJ Howell (Emma), Quincy Colvin, Kaleb Smith, Kaiden Howell, Marlie Howell and Cameron Smith; her great grandchild Langston Brayboy; and her siblings, Lou Catherine Powell of Detroit, MI, Cread Walton, Jr. of Detroit, MI, Daniel Walton of Lima, OH, Lewis and Jeff Thurmond. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church (110 W 11th St, Lima, OH 45804). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at the Woodlawn Cemetery (1751 Spencerville Rd, Lima, OH 45805).
