She was predeceased by: her siblings, Walter Lee Dawson, Ted Dawson, Will Dawson, Jr., Harrison Lee Dawson, Minnie Will Jackson, Hattie M. Dawson, Sally Colvin, Ceola Turpin, Ossie Lee Dawson and Sally M. Turner.

She is survived by: her sister Leola Scott of Lima; and her niece Ethel Newby. She is also survived by nieces, nephews that she has been a great mother.
