He was predeceased by: his son-in-law Aaron Owens. He is survived by: his wife Dianthia "Ann" Smith Wilson; his son Brian T. Wilson; his grandson Cartier T. Wilson of Lima, Ohio; his daughters, Shalonda Owens and Sharron Thomas (Lamar) of Columbus, Ohio; and his brothers, Earl, Gary (Geneder) and William of Buffalo, NY. He is also survived by ten grandchildren.
