He is survived by: his children, Timothy L. Upshaw, Sr. (Linda) of Lima, OH, Teresa Upshaw-Nichols of Lima, OH and Angela Perry (Dennis) of Atlanta, GA.; his sisters, Bessie M. Gordy of Pittsview, AL, Bertha Allison of Gary, IN and Elizabeth Peterson of Fort Meyers, FL.; his siblings-in-law, Marva Upshaw of Lima, OH, Shirley Upshaw of Fort Meyers, FL, Corene Duffie (Joshua) of Salem, AL., Fletcher Pollard of Fayetteville, NC, John Pollard (Mattie) of Fayetteville, NC and Leroy Pollard (Patricia) of Fayetteville, NC.; and also Snowden Gene Sims (Melinda) of Columbus, OH.. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
